Serif saved me two hours a day on email triage

What do you like best about Serif?

The priority detection is uncanny. After a week of training, Serif sorts my 400-message morning inbox better than I would myself. The pre-drafted replies sound like me, not like ChatGPT.

What do you dislike about Serif?

Calendar suggestions can be aggressive on busy weeks — I had to dial back the auto-scheduling sensitivity.

What problems is Serif solving and how is that benefiting you?

I was losing 2+ hours a day to email triage and missing follow-ups. Serif handles the triage and pings me on stalled threads. Three deals last month closed because of the follow-up nudges.

Recommendations to others considering Serif:

Use the free tier for a week before you upgrade. It will be obvious by day 3.

The best AI executive assistant I have tried

What do you like best about Serif?

Pre-meeting briefs pulled from email + CRM + docs. I get a one-page brief 15 minutes before every client call. None of the other tools I tried (Superhuman, Fyxer) do this.

What do you dislike about Serif?

No native mobile app yet. I use the web on my phone, which works but is not ideal.

What problems is Serif solving and how is that benefiting you?

I have 60+ active client relationships. Keeping context across all of them was breaking me. Serif keeps the context warm so every call feels prepared.

Serif vs Gemini for inbox work — Serif wins

What do you like best about Serif?

Priority detection actually works. It correctly flagged a client compliance issue buried under newsletters that I would have missed for a day. The fact that it works in the background without me prompting it is the differentiator.

What do you dislike about Serif?

Team pricing is not on the website — you have to talk to sales. Frustrating for a quick evaluation.

What problems is Serif solving and how is that benefiting you?

Compliance-driven inbox where missing a single client message is a real problem. Serif gives me confidence nothing is slipping.

Finally an AI tool that respects how lawyers work

What do you like best about Serif?

SOC 2 Type 2 and HIPAA were table stakes for me to even try it. Beyond that, the tone-matching is the real win — drafts read in my voice after 15 years of writing client correspondence.

What do you dislike about Serif?

No Outlook support yet. Several of my partners are on Outlook so we have not rolled it out firm-wide.

What problems is Serif solving and how is that benefiting you?

Drafting client correspondence at the pace clients now expect. Partners on my team have started asking how I am responding so fast.

Recommendations to others considering Serif:

If you are in a regulated industry, ask for the compliance docs upfront — they have them ready.

Tried Serif for 30 days — here is the honest take

What do you like best about Serif?

Inbox triage and follow-up tracking are worth the Pro price alone. The free tier got me hooked.

What do you dislike about Serif?

Multi-party scheduling is the weak spot. For complex meetings with 4+ people across timezones I still end up doing it manually. Also, the marketing says 2.4 hours saved daily — for me it was closer to 1.5. Still huge, but not the headline number.

What problems is Serif solving and how is that benefiting you?

Inbox overload as the company grew. Serif kept my inbox manageable through 3x headcount growth.

HIPAA-ready and actually helpful for a small practice

What do you like best about Serif?

HIPAA compliance was non-negotiable. Serif passed our security checklist on the first review. The triage of patient email is a meaningful workload reduction for the front desk.

What do you dislike about Serif?

We would love deeper EMR integrations — currently we still manually link patient context.

What problems is Serif solving and how is that benefiting you?

Front-desk email volume was burning out staff. Now staff spend more time with patients in the room and less time at the keyboard.

Pricing is fair for what you get

What do you like best about Serif?

Generous free tier. I started free, used it daily for two weeks, then upgraded — no regret. Cheaper than a part-time EA.

What do you dislike about Serif?

Team pricing requires a sales call. For solo operators it is fine but worth noting.

What problems is Serif solving and how is that benefiting you?

I cannot afford a human EA but I was spending 90 minutes a day on email. Serif is roughly $X/month — math is obvious.

Like having a chief of staff for $X/month

What do you like best about Serif?

The combination of triage + meeting briefs + follow-up tracking is what makes this different from "AI email tools." It feels like one product, not three.

What do you dislike about Serif?

The onboarding asks for a lot of integrations at once. I would prefer a more gradual rollout but the value comes once everything is connected.

What problems is Serif solving and how is that benefiting you?

I was the bottleneck on dozens of partner conversations. Serif is now the difference between dropping the ball and not.

Three months in and I cannot imagine going back

What do you like best about Serif?

I was skeptical of "AI executive assistant." After three months: it actually does the job. The pre-meeting briefs are the killer feature for me — I run 6-8 calls a day and Serif has me prepped for every one.

What do you dislike about Serif?

Wish there were more granular controls on which threads it drafts replies for.

What problems is Serif solving and how is that benefiting you?

I sell businesses. Every deal has 6 months of context across 200+ emails. Serif keeps it all warm and queryable.

Great product, not quite right for large enterprise yet

What do you like best about Serif?

The core features work. Triage is accurate, drafts are usable, meeting briefs are useful.

What do you dislike about Serif?

For a 200-person org we needed more admin controls, SSO with our IdP, and audit logs that we have not seen in our tier yet. Sales said roadmap, which I believe, but it is not there today.

What problems is Serif solving and how is that benefiting you?

For me personally it works well. Rolling it out to my team has been slower than I would like.

How we review software

Our methodology — why these Serif reviews are different from what you find on G2.

We email real users

Most review sites are gamed. We reach out directly to verified customers — people we can confirm actually pay for and use the product — and ask the same structured questions every time. That gives you reviews that are not cherry-picked by the vendor.

We aggregate the rest of the internet

We pull in reviews from G2, Capterra, Product Hunt, Reddit, X, and YouTube so you can see the full picture across every source — including the negative ones the vendor would rather hide.

AI-written reviews are flagged and removed

Our proprietary model scans every review for AI-generated language patterns. Anything flagged is excluded from the rating and clearly labeled — so the aggregate score reflects real humans, not generated noise.

No sponsorships. No paid placements. Ever.

We do not take money from vendors. No "sponsored slot," no "featured" tier, no affiliate deals that bias the ranking. Free to use, free of conflicts.
